This one-day symposium explores the effect of artificial intelligence on research. The event brings together speakers from across UCLA to provide a multifaceted perspective on the role of AI in academic research. It features sessions that approach the question of the impact of AI through multiple lenses, including an exploration of the fundamentals of intelligence and artificial intelligence, multidisciplinary panel discussions, and lightning talks showcasing innovative AI research underway at UCLA.
The symposium session will run in a hybrid format. Registration will be capped for the in-person symposium. Refreshments, lunch, and a reception will be provided for those in-person

Location
The symposium will be held at UCLA’s California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI). The main entrance to the building, which is at the southwest corner of the Court of Sciences, leads directly to the lobby. This entrance, the lobby, and the auditorium are on the 3rd floor of the building. If driving to campus , you can also enter CNSI via the level of the attached parking garage—Structure 9.
