The Jupyter notebook can be a programming and data analysis tool, but it can also be a method to document and save an analysis workflow, to share analysis routines and workflow with peers, and to publicize the data analysis contained in articles. Notebooks store and encapsulate computational thinking and processes in a manner that allows them to be retrieved, re-used, and distributed to others. This class will demonstrate how to take advantage of Jupyter for research and collaboration, including methods for sharing notebooks and for collaborative editing and running.
