Using the Command Line, Part 1: Basics

This workshop introduces researchers to the Linux command line as a practical tool for everyday work in research computing. Aimed at beginners and occasional terminal users, the session will cover the core ideas behind the shell, including how to move through directories, create and organize files and folders, use command history, and understand paths, permissions, and help documentation. By the end of the workshop, attendees will have a clear foundation in the essentials of the Linux CLI and be better prepared to use the terminal productively.
