Remote and after-hours access to the Sandbox and its facilities is also available but only after additional applications are filled in, submitted and scrutinized. When using Sandbox workstations and file systems there should be no expectation of privacy. As a campus resource it adheres to the UCLA Minimum Security Standards(Policy 401) and is well protected from the internet and from outside interference, but is also maintained and monitored by IT staff some of whom have full access to all of its data. It is also important when logged into the Sandbox workspace to protect its security and file systems. Users are asked to be vigilant regarding virus’s, malware and hacking intrusions on that workspace and report any suspicious activity on their workstations or file systems as soon as they appear.
