The Hoffman2 cluster is a powerful computational resource for the UCLA research community. This class is designed to introduce users to the Hoffman2 cluster environment and to clarify the process of porting applications or using applications already available on the cluster. It also addresses how to port your workflow to the Hoffman2 and how to submit batch and run interactive applications.
Part II addresses specific workflow classes such as: multicore, parallel and job array submissions. It addresses the process of creating Matlab standalone executables and running Matlab in batch, as well as running Abaqus python scripts, etc.. Example of how to submit array jobs using Matlab, Abaqus, R and your applications. We will also take a peak on how to run tensorflow and other machine learning applications on Hoffman2. A questionnaire will be distributed beforehand to tailor the class as much as possible to the needs of the attendees.
