IDRE is organized into four interlocking pillars focused on Computational Science, Data Science,
Information Science, and Digital Scholarship and Creative Activities with crosscutting activities common to
each program. The focus areas represent IDRE’s commitment to fostering multi-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary digitally-enabled research across UCLA.

Each focus area is represented by a working group comprised of IDRE faculty whose research relates to that area. As the working groups produce outcomes, they will be shared on the webpages for the respective focus areas.
