Our Mission
The mission of the Institute for Digital Research and Education (IDRE) is to support, guide, and advance a campus-wide program to make UCLA a world leader in high-performance computing and advanced digital technologies for research and education.
IDRE's Three Core Areas of Research:
High-Performance Computing (HPC)
The availability of infrastructure and expertise in high-performance computing will enable researchers to meet the grand scientific and social challenges of the 21st century. IDRE-HPC Research.
Humanities, Arts and Architecture,
Social and Information Sciences (HASIS)
Large-scale, multi-disciplinary research projects will define the next generation of methodologies for documenting and interpreting the human record. IDRE-HASIS Research.
Statistical Computing (STATS)
Expertise in applied statistics and research methodologies transcends disciplinary boundaries and allows scholars greater depth of data analysis. IDRE-STATS Research.
